About Recovery Dharma Milton
Recovery Dharma Milton is a weekly, peer-led Buddhist recovery meeting in Milton, Georgia. It is the North Fulton home of Recovery Dharma, a grassroots movement of people using meditation and Buddhist teachings as practical tools for recovery from addiction.
What the website does is simple: it tells you when and where we meet, shows you the readings and the twelve-week plan we use, and lets you read the meeting materials on your phone so you can follow along in the circle. It is a plain, quiet site on purpose. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to buy.
The meeting is for anyone recovering from addiction of any kind, including alcohol, drugs, food, gambling, relationships and screens. It is also for anyone who is not sure yet whether they have a problem and wants to sit in a room of people asking the same question. Many of us also attend other meetings, see a therapist, or have come out of treatment. All of that is welcome here.
Recovery Dharma Milton is built and run by volunteers from the group itself. Facilitators are members in recovery, not teachers or clinicians. Nobody is paid, no dues are collected, and a basket is passed for voluntary donations that are never expected. This website is maintained by volunteers in the sangha as a service to anyone looking for a meeting in North Fulton.
